Flood is extremely dangerous and has potential to wipe away an entire city, coastline or area, and causes extensive damage to life and property. It also has great erosive power and can be extremely destructive, even if is a foot high.
Floods occur at irregular intervals and vary in size, duration and the affected area. Some of the following events can caused flooding: rains; river overflow; strong winds in coastal areas; dam breaking; ice and snow-melting.
The project aim is to provide basic knowledge and information about the Civil protection at floods and it focuses on aspects of protection and response to disasters and will consider intuitional, social and educational issues.

Objectives

All project tasks, established new approaches and methods as well as the known studied methods for prevention and raised awareness of flooding will be disseminated by development and maintenance of a CASCADE E-learning platform
