Enrico's input as Interreg reporter

Budapest, January 2020

Hey there!

I am Enrico, Italian boy currently living in Budapest as IVY volunteer. The capital of Hungary is amazing, vibrant, modern and old at the same time; the city that “never sleeps”. Walking around, you can find many shops, bars, pubs, international restaurants, markets, and so on. Museums are a lot, architectural styles are several, from the Renaissance age to the contemporary period, going through the Austro- Hungarian period.

In September, I graduated in Eastern European International Relations, so volunteering in an Interreg programme of the European Union in Budapest was the perfect continuation of my studies. When I was called by the Danube Transnational Programme, I did not think twice about accepting or refusing the proposal: I packed my bags and took the flight immediately. I am learning a lot here, helped by Eloy and all the other amazing colleagues. Our office is by the river Danube, in the full center of the city, an amazing location for working, making my experience unforgettable.

After three months of internship, I have learnt a lot; my tasks concern mostly the management of the website of the Programme and the different projects: data sharing from google analytics, newsletter subscribers, publication of news and articles, publications in social networks, check of official videos of the Programme and elaboration of feedbacks. I even represented the DTP at official events, like the final international project conference at the BME University on the “Transnational Cooperation for Sediment Management in the Danube”.

I thank a lot IVY for this experience and to give me economic support; thank to Interreg Danube Transnational Programme, in particular to my tutor for being so patient, and to all the other colleagues who are always really kind with me.

Programme co-funded by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA, ENI)
